I go to my fav place one day get a lot then go the next time and cannot get a touch is because of the moon, tide and the sun …………… How does the effect of feeding fish moon
I do not know the growth of the moon and the moon, but have realized that if there is no movement of water or a dead current or tide the bite is much slower. The dose of the moon have to do with the tides, so I guess you could calculate the phases of the moon and see the days with strong tides inshore and try to get out when you have the day's trip. I would be a fish point of Freeport, Texas. it was around 32 to 40 nautical miles that the fish always occur, but the days when there was more current was always easier. I've been there in the days of slack tide and the struggle of the holders of a slab then fishes around a High tide day with many current and the limit on snapper with 5 or 6 people on the boat in a couple of hours and have a fish about 8 pounds. So even at a point on the coast where the water is not likely to change, as in Bay 1 to difference of 3 feet of clearance between the low and high slack. The movement of the tides or current out there in 100 plus feet of water still has an effect on the bite. I hope this makes sense.
